How Deloitte hires, and how to get in: 2026

Deloitte is not one employer. You apply to a member firm, and since 1 June 2026 the UK and 15 other European practices sit inside a new Deloitte EMEA entity while the US firms and Deloitte Asia Pacific stay separate, which is why pay, notice, grades and even the assessment stages differ completely between countries. This playbook uses the UK statutory audit transparency report, the UK gender pay gap filings, Deloitte's published results and Deloitte's own US job postings, where the wage range is a legal disclosure, to give you numbers you can check. Everything carries its source and the date we checked it.

How the door opens

Pro

Deloitte is not one employer, and that single fact decides more about your application than anything on the careers page.

Start here: you are not applying to Deloitte

Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited (DTTL) is a UK private company that provides no client services. The firms that actually hire you are separate legal entities. Deloitte's own audit transparency report states it plainly: "DTTL and each of its member firms are legally separate and independent entities." On 23 February 2026 Deloitte announced an EMEA firm combining 16 participating practices, including the UK, Germany, France, Ireland, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, the Nordics, Central Europe, Portugal, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, Türkiye and the Middle East. It took effect on 1 June 2026, covers more than 80 countries, about 6,000 partners and 132,000 professionals and roughly 20 billion euro of revenue, with more than 1.5 billion euro of incremental investment planned over four years. Deloitte LLP's affiliate became a shareholder in Deloitte EMEA BV, which is the DTTL member firm. Deloitte UK press release, 23 Feb 2026

What it means for you. An offer in London comes from Deloitte LLP. An offer in New York comes from Deloitte Consulting LLP, Deloitte & Touche LLP or Deloitte Tax LLP, each a separate subsidiary of the US Deloitte LLP. An offer in Auckland comes from a firm inside Deloitte Asia Pacific Limited. Moving between them later is a fresh hire with a fresh process, not an internal transfer. Pay, notice, grades and the assessment stages themselves do not carry across.
